Propane sauna heaters are the ideal choice for most commercial uses, and for the savvy home sauna owner. While the upfront investment might be higher for a propane heater, they more then pay for themselves in both home and commercial applications with energy savings. While some are nervous about installing gas sauna heaters in their homes, it is comparable to using a gas stove. The equipment is certified, and constructed properly to handle a propane line and last for years to come.

Propane similar to other gas heaters such as natural gas provide superb control of the amount of heat, generally the will be exhausted via the sauna wall. Most gas sauna heaters will be double or even triple walled with a stainless steel exterior to ensure there is never any corrosion. For home sauna use a propane sauna heater still makes sense. Just for the sheer savings in energy bills to heat up the sauna room for each use. Propane provides an almost instant heat that is so easily regulated. Of course there are downfalls to using this type of sauna heater. For those looking for the true Finnish sauna experience, it's very difficult to achieve without using a wood  sauna heater. While the gas does provide a much cleaner experience with no clean up there will always be some that prefer the authenticity of a wood heater.
